Bug reproduction video and log: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1UO9OXY5Crrat7JrKo7UthkTjQQ_3H7Ln?usp=drive_link
I'm using blender 4.4 and cat 4.4.1.0, and I've found that cat 4.4.0.0 beta doesn't have this problem
(By the way, can you guys automate the make mesh/arm single user step?)

Hi there,

Seeing as no one else has this issue and we can't re-produce it on our end can you confirm the following:

1: Did you either installed the official cats then install the unofficial one with out restarting or just updated from a older version version of unofficial without restarting afterwards?
2: What kind of model are you using, like PMX?

Lastly i not sure what you mean by automate the make mesh/arm single user step, however Cats is not adding new features as Cats is on life support, however we are making Avatar Toolkit which will replace Cats in the future, if you want new features in Avatar Toolkit you can read more here:

For 1, no, I did neither, I have tried disabling all plugins and reinstalling cats and it still crashes
For 2, any pmx model will cause a crash, even if I create a simple model in Blender (use the new MMD model in mmd tools and create a sphere as the model mesh) and try to fix it, it will crash
I also tried using the latest cats 4.2.3.0 on Blender 4.2 and it still crashes

Hi there,

I just re-produced the issue, I advise unto I get a chance to fix this issue to use a older version of Cats that works.

I am honestly not sure what would cause this issue as we did nothing to Fix MMD Model script so this one is werid, the only thing I can think of is now we import bone collections in the pmx import now and maybe fix mmd model doesn't like it even though it should support them.

Edit: I have also tested it with other file formats and no crashes happen, it does seem to be an issue with PMX itself, so I think my theory might be right.

I take a look tomorrow to see what is going on.

Thanks for the report.
