I understand that what I'm asking for is outside the scope of what this addon was made for, but since the feature I want basically already exists in the addon I'll ask anyway.
I'm trying to get a MMD model to be suitable for animation in Blender. This means converting the armature so that it is suitable for usage in Blender. This addon doesn't seem to have a feature for that so I'm relying on another addon (MikuMikuRig).
Problem is: using the "Fix MMD model" button seems to modify the armature in ways that makes it impossible for MikuMikuRig to work.
Now the only reason I need the "Fix MMD model" button is to convert the morphs into Blender-usable shape keys, because unless I'm mistaken there is no other way to do it.
Thus I wanted to know if it would be possible to add a button to convert morphs into shape keys and only do that operation.
(Just in case, I know MMD Tools allows you to convert morphs into shape keys, but for some reason the way it does it is extremely resource-intensive to the point of being completely unusable in the context of animating in Blender...)
Hi there,
We are not introducing new features to Cats as we are working on Avatar Toolkit which will be a complete replacement for Cats, if you want something like this you can suggest it for Avatar Toolkit.
https://github.com/teamneoneko/Avatar-Toolkit
Cats itself is only being maintained unto Avatar Toolkit is more stable.
Due to this I am closing this issue, again if you want this feature please request on Avatar Toolkit's Github.
