Description of Issue:
When clicking "merge armatures" it doesn't merge all armatures or moves meshes to first armature, turns on all skinned meshes inside first armature, giving above image errors.
Blender Version:
5.0 latest of today
Cats Version:
5.0.1.16
Operating System:
Windows 11
Steps to Reproduce:
It sounds like your Armature and meshes are multi users, this isn't supported, make all you objects Single User (This is a blender issues and limitation, you have to do the same with the Fix MMD Button), see the image below on how to do that (ensure you got everything selected before hand).
I will add a better user friendly error for this, but your the first to have this issue.
I can not get this error to pop up for the life of me, however I have added a check into the 5.x Dev Branch which will give you a user friendly message from now on.
Will be pushed to the next Cats update.
To get that error to happen, I had a 2nd set of meshes imported over my normal project, and manually moved them inside the normal project, then shift+moved again under normal project's armature. Changed modifier armature with first project's, instead of 2nd.
