Issue Reporting Guidelines for Cats Blender Plugin (Unofficial)

IMPORTANT: CREATE A NEW ISSUE:

DO NOT REPLY TO THIS TEMPLATE. YOU MUST CREATE A NEW ISSUE.

To create a new issue:

Go to the "Issues" tab
Click on "New Issue"
Use the template provided below

Important Notice:

DO NOT POST ISSUES ABOUT THE OFFICIAL VERSION OF CATS. ANY ISSUE RELATED TO THE OFFICIAL VERSION WILL BE CLOSED IMMEDIATELY WITHOUT WARNING.

We only support Blender 4.2 and 4.4 and 4.5 issues about older version of Unofficial Cats on unsupported versions of blender will be closed without warning.

Before submitting an issue, please ensure you have:

Read the wiki thoroughly.
Checked if your problem is addressed in the existing issues or documentation.
3: Ensure your Cats is up to date and on a supported version of Blender.

For general help that isn't bug-related, join our Discord server.

Current Recommended Blender Version:

The current recommended Blender version is 4.2 LTS.

Note: Due to recent changes in Blender's API, some issues may still exist that haven't been addressed yet.

How to Report an Issue:

Please use the following template when creating a new issue. DO NOT REPLY TO THIS TEMPLATE. START A NEW ISSUE.

Issue Template:

Issue Title: [Use a descriptive and concise title]

Description of Issue:
[Provide a clear and detailed description of the problem. For example: "When clicking 'Fix MMD model', the process stops halfway and Blender crashes."]

Blender Version:
[e.g., 4.2.0]

Cats Version:
[e.g., 4.2.1.0]

Operating System:
[e.g., Windows 11, Ubuntu 22.04, macOS Monterey]

Steps to Reproduce:

[First step]
[Second step]
[And so on...]

Screenshots or Error Messages:
[If applicable, add screenshots or copy-paste any error messages here]

Additional Context:
[Add any other relevant information about the problem here]

Important Notes

If you installed official before installing unoffical without restarting blender, make sure you restart blender and try again first, official does not uninstall correctly and caused issues without a restart.
Issues without sufficient context, screenshots, or useful information will be closed immediately.
If your issue turns out to be related to MMD Tools, Material Combiner or Immersive Scaler, it will be closed, and you will be directed to report it to authors of said projects.
Our team communicates in English so please use English in your issues, issues in other languages will be closed immediately. This is so everyone in our team understands your issue.
