    Cats for 5.0 is still in beta, but this update puts a big focus on UI cleanup, stability, and making everything run smoother in Blender 5.0. Please report any issues you find, and let me know what you think of the new UI.
    This build is basically a release candidate for the first stable Cats 5.0 release. As long as no major issues pop up, this will become the stable version.

    Changelog:
    UI Improvements:

    • Cleaner, modern UI for Blender 5.0
    • Less clutter with fewer nested menus (Note, we removed the tabs in favour for sub menus, we did this because labels were cut off on the tab buttons, which caused issues for new users).
    • Quick Access now uses clearer sections
    • More consistent button and panel layout across the addon
    • Improved error and warning visuals to make issues easier to understand
    • Removed outdated or redundant UI elements (like the old FBX test import button)

    Eye Tracking Fixes:

    • Fixed crashes when the required mesh or armature was missing
    • More stable setup with clearer warnings

    General Fixes & Stability:

    • Updated MMD Tools to version 4.5.2, fixing several issues with MMD workflows (Note we still had to upgrade it to work with 5.0, so there maybe some issues still)
    • Fixed Blender 4.5+ crash caused by bone collections being removed in Edit Mode
    • Fix Model no longer crashes on MMD models
    • Addon checks now use short-term caching for better performance
    • Updater now correctly supports Blender 5.0

    Armature & Transform Fixes:

    • Armature merging now respects the Apply Transforms option
    • Fixed unexpected size changes during armature merge
    • Clearer, more helpful error messages when transforms fail

    Overall Addon Cleanup:

    • Cleaner operator descriptions and improved menu organization
    • Removed old debug prints and unused features
    • Reduced duplicated logic across tools
    • More protective error boundaries to prevent UI-related crashes

    This version requires Blender 5.0+ and is not backward compatible with 4.x
