as of the v1.8 and v1.7, at least on neoforge you can't deal damage with your attacks if there is more then one entity in your attack hitbox/range

Hi, won't be fixing this for 1.21.1 due to lack of motivation.

Please report again if the upcoming 26.1.x versions have this issue.
